We had our appointment with Dr. GI on Friday. We got the blood results from 2 weeks ago. It was a mix of good and bad. James definitely does not have Celiac. The gene test they did confirmed that. Yeah! They also looked at all of his immunoglobulins and in addition to the low IgA he also has low IgG. We will see an immunologist to learn more about this but one source said that babies are born with low IgG and that it reaches it's max at 2-3 years old. So, we are hoping this just means that he is a little bit delayed in making the IgG but we have to wait and see what the Immunologist says. Dr. GI also said to keep weaning him off the Prevacid and the best news of all...we don't have to go back to see him anymore.
In other news we saw the movie Transformers and loved it. I really think it's a great movie. The director surprised me in a few places by giving the unexpected instead of the traditional. For example, you know how you watch a scary movie and when the girl is going into the house alone, it's dark, it's raining and there is an axe murderer on the lose and you want to scream "no, don't go in there" because you know exactly what will happen but she goes in anyway and gets killed? Well, Tansformers would have not had the girl go into the house. It was just a feel good movie that I enjoyed.
Finally for my 14th wedding anniversary I got a new laptop computer. It's super a super fancy Toshiba Satellite. It has a thumb scanner! Really cool. It's taking sometime to adjust to the new one but overall I like it. I was using XP on my Dell laptop and never had any problems but this one has Vista on it and Vista sucks! Really, it does. The file transfer time is outrageous. It took me days t get everything transferred over.
If I don;t update again this week it's because I am out of town. James and I are off to N.C. to see my cousin, her family and my grand father. Should be fun!
